I’m Sam Gary. I am a physician-scientist (MD–PhD) trainee at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I grew up in the small, rural town of Rockwood, Pennsylvania, far from a hub of biomedical research and medical advancements. Now that I’m studying at a large academic medical center, I aim to make concepts of scientific discoveries, medical challenges, and educational reform more accessible and understandable.
